Snow Wednesday to Thursday, but how much?

Summary

Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday will be dry and rather warm. Then a storm will bring a few inches of snow on Wednesday, with more snow possible on Wednesday night into Thursday.

Update

Lifts are spinning and of course, open terrain is limited with 4 trails available.

On Sunday morning, we can see on the base webcam image that some snowmaking is ongoing, though temperatures are only borderline cold enough for snowmaking at the moment and these warm-ish temperatures will continue through Tuesday.

Looking ahead, a storm will cross Colorado on Wednesday, November 8.

I have high confidence that we will see 1-4 or 2-5 inches of snow from late Tuesday night through Wednesday afternoon.

I then have lower confidence about what will happen from Wednesday afternoon to Thursday midday. Some forecast models show the storm slowing down and pushing a band of intense snow right over the mountain, which could deliver 6+ inches of additional snow. Other models show the storm either staying to our north with no additional snow, or dropping farther to the south with just another inch or two of accumulation.

For now, I would plan on a couple of inches of snow on Wednesday, the *potential* for more snow on Wednesday night into Thursday, and the *potential* for fresh snow / powder on Thursday. We'll be able to dial in the forecast at some point in the coming days, but today is not that day, as uncertainty abounds.

Following the storm around November 8-9, we will see dry yet colder weather on Thursday, Friday, and maybe Saturday with favorable snowmaking conditions 24/7, then our next chance for natural snow will be sometime during the November 15-19 time frame.
