Tue (Mar 4)

The storm arrived on Monday night, but unfortunately, it only dropped 2-3 inches of snow at mid-mountain.

Nearby areas received more snow, and the track of the storm evolved about as expected, so this low-end total surprised me.

On Tuesday, temperatures will be in the upper teens to mid-20s, and snow showers could deliver 2-5 inches of accumulation.

On Tuesday evening, snow showers may continue through about midnight, and if they do, there will be some untouched snow for Wednesday morning's first chair.

Wed (Mar 5)

Wednesday will be dry and mostly sunny with a high temperature of around 30°F.

Storm #2 (Thu-Fri)

The second storm of the week should deliver snow from Wednesday night to Friday night.

The upsides are that this will be a multi-day system, and it will bring a surge of moisture on Wednesday night and Thursday.

The downside is that the wind direction will be from the southwest during a lot of the storm, and this is not a favorable wind direction for a lot of snow.

I could see anywhere from 3-8 inches of accumulation, with some powder possible on both Thursday and Friday.

Longer Range

Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (March 8-10) will be dry, with a high temperature in the 20s on Saturday and in the 30s on Sunday and Monday.

Then, there should be a quick-hitter storm around Tuesday and Wednesday (March 11-12), with a stronger and colder storm possible later in the week around Friday to Saturday (March 14-15).
