A few weak systems then a glimmer of hope for next week...

Update

Dry skies and above average temperatures have been the story since this past Wednesday at Big Sky. Earlier in the week, snowmakers were able to blow quite a bit of snow from Everett’s slowly working their way down to the lower mountain before the temps warmed up. The forecast for the weekend looks to bring increasing clouds Friday with 1-2” possible across Andesite and Lone Mountain by morning. Saturday and Sunday will be mostly dry with a few snow showers but mainly windy. Temps will unfortunately start climbing once again on Sunday. Cloudy and dry conditions with above average temps will rule early next week before a colder system moves south out of Alberta giving Wednesday the best chance for measurable snow. High-pressure then looks to build back later in the upcoming week with the consolation of cooler temps that will be favorable for snowmaking once again. The overall snow coverage is still looking good for the Thanksgiving opening day. Stay tuned for my next update early next week.
