At 8am Sunday morning 7 inches of new snow has registered overnight at the Challenger snow-stake with snow flurries flying over Lone Mountain and a temperature of 22 degrees in the village. For today expect snow showers during the morning hours with the clouds slowly moving off by the early afternoon and a high temperature of 29 degrees at 8000’. Winds will be out of the West at 8-12mph with gusts up to 20mph on ridge tops and exposed alpine areas.

A shortwave system will bring in a mix of clouds and periods of light snow on Monday afternoon that will persist into Monday night with 1-3” possible overnight. The sun returns back to the forecast on Tuesday all the way through Friday with daily highs in the low to mid-30’s at 8000’.
