Update

At 8am Monday morning no new snow has fallen overnight with snow flurries flying over Lone Mountain and a temperature of 27 degrees in the village. For today expect off and on periods of snow showers with an inch or two possible by last chair and a high temperature of 29 degrees at 8000’. Winds will be out of the West/SW at 8-10mph with gusts up to 20mph on ridge tops and exposed alpine areas.

A secondary shortwave tonight will keep periods of light snow persisting into Monday night with another 1-3” possible by Tuesday morning. The sun returns back on Tuesday and stays in the forecast daily all the way through Friday. Daily highs at 8000’ will stay just below the freezing mark until Wednesday when afternoon highs will be in the mid-30’s. Looking ahead our next storm system looks to encroach into the area on Saturday and last into Sunday. Stay tuned…
