Wednesday Mix

Update

At 8am Wednesday morning no new snow fell overnight with mostly cloudy skies over Lone Mountain and a temperature of 27 degrees in the village. For today expect a mix of cloudy skies with numerous sunny spells and a high temperature of 34 degrees at 8000’. Winds will be moderate out of the West/SW at 18-23mph with gusts up to 34mph on ridge tops and exposed alpine areas.

A cold front moving in late Wednesday afternoon looks to bring 2-4” overnight before clearing out Thursday morning. Thursday and Friday will generally be partly sunny days with colder temps and highs both days around 24-26 at 8000’. Looking ahead our next storm system, a cold front with arctic roots will encroach into the area on Saturday morning and bring periods of light snow through the weekend along with drastically dropping temps with lows in the single digits by Sunday.
