Clouds and Sunny Spells / Snow this Weekend

Summary

Slightly colder temperatures along with overcast skies will start things off Tuesday before the sun peaks out for a few spells this afternoon. High-pressure builds in on Wednesday and lasts into Friday morning before being pushed out by an advancing trough of low pressure. Snow looks to begin late Friday and last into Saturday with possibly 4 to 6 inches. Could be a powder Saturday.

Today:   

At 8:00AM it’s 22 degree in the Village and 17 degrees at the 8800’ level of Andesite Mountain. No new snow fell in the past 24-hours. Currently the skies are cloudy over Lone and Andesite mountains. Current winds at the top of Andesite are blowing from the NE at 2 mph with a recent gust to 7 mph.

Today expect a mix of clouds and sun with light NE winds. High temperatures across the upper mountain locations (at 9000’) will be around 30 degrees. Winds will be blowing lightly out of the NE at 8 to 10 mph.  

Extended Forecast:

High-pressure returns for a mostly sunny Wednesday, Thursday and Friday along with warming temps as well. Snow returns to the forecast Friday night into Saturday with possible accumulations up to 6 inches. Temperatures also revert back to seasonal averages. After a cloudy, snow showery day on Sunday and Monday another Pacific storm is expected Monday night into Tuesday.
