Summary

High-pressure moves out and clouds move in, but the sun will still burn through bringing back the warm alpine temps. Monday night, snow showers increase with a 50% chance of 1 to 2 inches overnight. Tuesday, flurries mostly, with trace amounts with colder, but seasonal temperatures. High-pressure returns Wednesday through Friday along with warming temperatures.

Today:   

At 8:00AM it’s 23 degree in the Village and 26 degrees at the 8800’ level of Andesite Mountain. No new snow fell in the past 24-hours. Currently the skies are partly cloudy over Lone and Andesite mountains. Current winds at the top of Andesite are blowing from the W/NW at 3 mph with a recent gust to 8 mph.

Today expect a mix of clouds and sun with increasing north winds. High temperatures across the upper mountain locations (at 9000’) will be around 35 degrees during the afternoon hours. Winds will be blowing lightly out of the North at 8 to 10 mph with gusts to 20 mph during the afternoon.  

Extended Forecast:

Monday night, chances of snow showers with a 50% chance of 1 to 2 inches by morning. Tuesday, a few morning flurries could bring trace amounts along with colder daytime high temps in the upper 20’s at 9000’. High-pressure returns for a partly sunny Wednesday, Thursday and Friday along with warming temps as well. Snow showers return to the forecast on Saturday.
