Dry and Clear for a Few Days /Snow Starts Off the Weekend
Summary
High-pressure moves overhead today (Wednesday) bringing back cold mornings and warm afternoons with cloudless skies daily into Friday morning. By Friday afternoon the high-pressure will be pushed to the east by an advancing trough of low-pressure. Snow looks to begin late Friday and last into Saturday with possibly 4 to 6 inches.

Today:
At 8:00AM it’s 16 degree in the Village and 17 degrees at the 8800’ level of Andesite Mountain. No new snow fell in the past 24-hours. Currently the skies are clear over Lone and Andesite mountains. Current winds at the top of Andesite are blowing from the E/SE at 3 mph with a recent gust to 4 mph.
Today expect a sunny day with light south winds. High temperatures across the upper mountain locations (at 9000’) will be around 35 degrees. Winds will be blowing lightly out of the South at 6 to 10 mph.
Extended Forecast:
High-pressure will continue for a mostly sunny Thursday and Friday along with warming temps daily with highs in the upper 30’s at 9000’. Snow returns to the forecast Friday night into Saturday with possible accumulations up to 6 inches. Temperatures also revert back to seasonal averages, with upper mountain highs in the mid to upper 20’s. After a partly sunny/ partly cloudy, snow showery kind day for both Sunday and Monday, another Pacific storm is expected Monday night into Tuesday. Details to come as soon as they become a bit more clear.
