Mid-Week Storm Update

Summary

The storm has been a little slow to start for most areas so far. The Vancouver area and South Coast Range resorts have done better with the northwest winds than Whistler has, while the Interior has not seen much snow yet. Snow will continue to pick up Tuesday night, and Wednesday is looking like a good powder day for many areas, especially the North/Central Columbias and the Okanagan region, as well as portions of the Coast Range. On Thursday, the storm track will shift south with only the southernmost portions of BC expected to see decent snow at this point, though uncertainty remains. A stronger storm will then arrive on Friday-Saturday, bringing moderate to heavy snow to the Coast Range and Interior, though southern areas closer to the US border will be favored once again. Conditions will dry out on Sunday and Monday, February 9th-10th, then a storm will be possible on Tuesday the 11th, most likely favoring the Interior.
