Focus Turns to Friday-Saturday

Summary

The South Okanagan Region has picked up the heaviest snow amounts over the past 1-2 days, especially Apex, Big White, and Baldy Mountain. The storm track is shifting farther south on Thursday, so while the Okanagan resorts over-performed a bit Wednesday/Wednesday night, snow amounts will be lighter on Thursday. Most other areas of BC will only see light snow amounts at best on Thursday as well. Attention then turns to our next storm, which will bring snow to the Coast Range from Friday afternoon through early Saturday morning, and to the Interior from Friday evening through Saturday evening with Saturday looking like a good powder day for many areas. This storm is looking better for a larger area compared to the recent storm, but will favor southern portions of BC closer to the US border the most. Conditions will dry out on Sunday and Monday, then a weak/moderate storm will arrive from the north on Monday night or Tuesday.
