Update

On Wednesday, we woke up to a coating of new snow and then we saw another 2 inches during the day as a few snow showers moved through.

On Wednesday night, dry weather returned and there was no additional accumulation.

Thursday will be dry and partly-to-mostly sunny as we’ll be in-between storms. Expect a high temperature around 20°F.

Friday will start dry with some sunshine, and then the atmosphere will push a storm farther north than previous forecasts showed, so we should see snow from Friday afternoon through Saturday. This system will not take an ideal track to bring us big snow amounts, but the combination of abundant moisture and a prolonged chance for snow should bring 2-5 inches.

Saturday should offer the softest snow and it’s possible that snow could continue into Saturday night which would make Sunday morning’s conditions soft as well. Because this storm has been poorly forecast during the last few days, I expect that there could be some surprises and we might see more snow than most models show.

Looking ahead, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday will be chilly with a mix of light snow showers, clouds, and sunshine. Sunday will be the coldest day with high temperatures in the single digits, then temperatures will warm into the teens on Monday and Tuesday.

From Tuesday night through Thursday there is a chance for anything from light snow to significant snow and fun powder days. I am cautiously optimistic for powder on Wednesday and/or Thursday but it’s still a bit too early for full-on excitement because not all models agree with this scenario. Keep doing your snow dance and stay tuned.

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
