Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Update

Thursday morning’s snow report is 9 inches at mid-mountain. About 4 inches fell on Wednesday morning and midday, which was much earlier than expected, and an additional 5 inches fell on Wednesday night, which was on the high end of my expected range.

Snow conditions on Thursday morning should be fresh and fun. For Thursday and Thursday evening, we’ll continue to see snow showers. Most models show just a few inches of accumulation, but the models have not been correct about the majority of this storm so I would not be surprised if the atmosphere figures out a way to bring more surprises, hopefully in the form of more snow than expected.

On Thursday night, most of the accumulating snow will end by midnight.

Friday’s weather should be chilly, cloudy, and include a few light snow showers. Conditions should be soft but most of the powder will be tracked since I am expecting only light snow amounts after lifts close on Thursday afternoon.

Saturday and Sunday should be sunny and warmer, though, with a fast-flow from the northwest, I have to caveat the forecast with the chance for some clouds to linger around the mountain each day.

The next storm should bring snow from Sunday evening through Monday with 2-5 inches as the most likely snowfall range. After that, there is a good chance for a stormy period starting around January 9 and continuing for at least 10 days.

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
