Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Update
Thursday brought light snow during the midday, afternoon and evening with 2 inches of total accumulation. About half of this snow fell after lifts closed on Thursday afternoon.
Friday morning will offer soft turns from the snow that fell around and just after when lifts closed on Thursday. Friday’s weather should turn out partly-to-mostly sunny with a high temperature in the 20s.
Friday night may bring a few more clouds and flurries though we should not see any snow accumulation.
Saturday and Sunday will be dry and warm days. Saturday’s high temperature will be in the 30s. Sunday’s high temperature will be in the 40s, and it will feel like spring.
Then we’ll leave spring and head right back into winter for the better part of the next two weeks.
The first storm will bring snow from Monday midday through Tuesday midday. I have reasonable confidence that the snow accumulation will be in the 5-10 inch range with the best powder on Tuesday morning.
The second storm will bring snow from Wednesday night through Saturday morning. Since snow will fall for a long time, 48-60 hours, we have a very good chance of getting more than 10 inches. We should enjoy soft conditions and powder on Thursday, Friday, and maybe Saturday morning as well.
Looking further ahead, chances for snow will continue over the weekend (February 8-9) and through the following week (February 10-14) as a stormy weather continues over the Rockies. There will likely be a few drier days in this stretch, and also some stormy days. We’ll work on the details as the time gets closer.
Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
