Update

Snowflakes continue to be in the air…

We saw a few snow showers on Wednesday during the day and also on Wednesday night, with 1/2 inch of accumulation on the mid-mountain snow stake on Wednesday night.

Now on Thursday morning, the next storm will be arriving soon and we’ll likely see 1-3 inches during the day but could be a bit more than that based on the latest models and actual on-the-ground reports from when this storm passed through Wyoming. Conditions should get softer through the day, and with a little snow maybe accumulating after lifts close, Friday morning’s turns should also be soft.

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday should all be dry days with plenty of sunshine. Temperatures will be on the upswing with 20s on Friday, 30s on Saturday, and 40s on Sunday. Enjoy the sun and spring-like weather before we’re getting back on the storm train next week.

The next storm will arrive on Monday morning and we’ll see snow all day Monday into Monday evening. This storm’s track will be farther south than what is ideal, but we should wind up with at least 3-6 inches of snow and maybe more.

Tuesday and Wednesday will likely be cold (temperatures between -10°F to +10°F) with a few snowflakes in the air but with only very light accumulations as these cold temperatures usually bring too little moisture for deeper accumulating snowfall.

From Thursday through the weekend (February 6-9), we should hop back onto the storm train with multiple systems moving into Colorado from the northwest. This is usually good news for us so there is a pretty high chance for additional powder days later next week and into the weekend.

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
