Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Update
Saturday brought temperatures in the 30s while clouds filtered the sunshine.
Sunday will feel like spring with temperatures in the 40s and mostly sunny skies.
Then we’ll head back into a snowy pattern for most of the week.
On Monday, narrow bands of intense snow should bring some accumulation during the day, and then it’s possible that we will see steadier snow on Monday afternoon and Monday night.
There will be plenty of moisture and energy with this storm as it moves over Colorado, but this is not a classic storm track for big snow in Colorado’s northern mountains, so I’ll keep expectations reasonable and stick with 5-10 inches. If we miss this range, it’s more likely that we’d get fewer than 5 inches and not greater than 10 inches. The best time to enjoy powder should be on Tuesday morning.
On Tuesday, we’ll have cold temperatures in the single digits and maybe a few light snow showers.
From Wednesday morning or midday through Saturday morning, expect snow to fall thanks to a persistent push of moisture and energy that will track directly over Colorado’s northern mountains (that’s us!). Based on the duration of this storm and the forecast for plenty of moisture, it’s reasonable to expect 10-20 inches of snow with powder possible on Thursday, Friday, and maybe even Saturday morning. The downside to this storm is that we will see warming temperatures, which could make the snow a little thicker over time. That aside, I am still excited about the powder possibilities on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Looking further ahead, we should see drier weather on Saturday and Sunday (February 8-9) and then we’ll likely see another round of during the following week, with the best chances perhaps later in the week from around February 12-14.
Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
