Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Update
Sunday was a gorgeous day with perfectly sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 30s and lower 40s. I hope that you enjoyed the spring-like weather!
Now on Monday morning, temperatures are still warm, in the 20s, and the sky is dry. Expect narrow bands of on-and-off snow from Monday midday through the evening, and then it’s possible that we will see a period of steadier snow on Monday night. Based on the trend in the models, and because I like to keep reasonable expectations, I’m going to lower my forecast a bit from 5-10 inches to 3-8 inches. Keep your eye on the mid-mountain snow stake to see how this storm shapes up. The best time to enjoy powder should be on Tuesday morning.
On Tuesday, we’ll have cold temperatures in the single digits and maybe a few light snow showers.
Wednesday morning should be dry, then snow showers will return by Wednesday afternoon.
From Wednesday night through Saturday morning, expect snow to fall most of the time. This should be a fun storm with moderate powder on Thursday, deep powder on Friday, and maybe additional powder for Saturday morning. Thanks to 48-60 hours of moisture and energy, we could see 10-20+ inches of snow across these days. The only downsides will be warming temperatures and thicker snow from Thursday into Friday, and perhaps windy conditions on Friday.
Looking further ahead, we should see drier weather from Saturday afternoon through some of Sunday. Then we could see some snow on multiple days next week (February 10-14) though the details are still too murky for us to talk about this further. Stay tuned.
Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
