Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Update

Snow began to fall on Monday late afternoon and it continued to accumulate through Monday midnight. The snow total across the mountain is 4-5 inches, and with most of this snow falling late in the day and overnight, most of it will be fresh now on Tuesday morning.

If you’re heading out on Tuesday, dress warmly as temperatures are near 0°F and they will stay in the single digits throughout the day. We might see a few snow showers on Tuesday, though accumulations will be very light because this cold airmass contains little moisture.

On Wednesday, we’ll start the day with some sunshine. Then clouds will quickly increase and we’ll probably see snowflakes by the afternoon.

From Wednesday night through Saturday morning, we will be in for a treat as we’ll enjoy about 60 hours of snowfall and significant accumulations. Thursday should be a powder day with light, fluffy snow, Friday should be a powder day with thicker snow and stronger winds, and then Saturday morning could also be a powder morning thanks to light and fluffy snow falling late on Friday afternoon for Friday night. If you have the chance, I would plan to ski or ride on each of these days (Thu/Fri/Sat). Total accumulations should be 1-2 feet.

Looking further ahead, we should see drier weather from Saturday afternoon through some of Sunday. Then we could see light-to-moderate snow from one storm between later Sunday and Tuesday, and then additional storms could bring light-to-moderate snow later next week as well.

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
