Friday night snow

Summary

Our best chance for more snow will be Friday night, Saturday will bring mixed weather, and Sunday will be sunny and warm.

Update

Thursday

Thursday was mixed with some sunshine, some clouds, and high temperatures that rose into the 30s and low 40s.

Friday

Friday morning will offer a bit of new snow as a snow shower right around sunrise dropped about 1 inch on the mountain.

During the day on Friday, additional snow showers will come and go, and we might see a little more accumulation. The high temperature will be in the upper 30s.

Friday Night

On Friday night, moisture and storm energy will converge over the I-70 corridor and we should see 1-4 inches of new snow. There is some upside potential to this forecast if one of the more intense bands of snow happens to hit the mountain.

Saturday

Saturday morning should be fun with at least a little bit of new, surfy snow to enjoy. For the rest of Saturday, the weather will be mixed with times of clouds, times of snow showers, and times of sunshine. The high temperature will be in the upper 30s.

Sunday

Sunday's weather will be gorgeous with mostly sunny skies and a high temperature in the mid-40s.

Longer Range

Following mostly dry and warm weather next week, our next chances for snow will be around April 26-28 and again around May 1.

My next update will be on Saturday morning, and while the mountain will stay open into May, my final daily update of the season will be on Monday, April 22.
