New snow on Saturday morning

Summary

Friday night's storm delivered 2-3 inches and this snow will be fresh and surfy for Saturday morning's first chair.

Update

Friday & Friday Night

On Friday, we saw a few snow showers with a bit of accumulation, but the high sun angle of mid-April makes it hard to accumulate snow during the day with temperatures close to freezing.

On Friday night, a few intense snow showers hit the mountain. The mid-mountain snow stake shows about 2-3 inches as of 500 am and we could get another 1 inch as the final snow showers move through and end by about 700 am.

Saturday

Saturday will start with new snow - get it during first chair before any breaks of sunshine turn it to mush! The rest of the day will be mixed with partly cloudy skies, mostly dry weather, maybe a snow shower cruising by now and then, and a high temperature in the 30s.

Sunday

Sunday's weather will be gorgeous with mostly sunny skies and a high temperature in the mid-40s.

Longer Range

Following mostly dry and warm weather next week, our next chances for snow will be around April 26-28.

My next update will be on Sunday morning, and while the mountain will stay open into May, my final daily update of the season will be on Monday, April 22.
