Sunny Sunday

Summary

The storm is gone and we'll transition to mostly sunny and warmer weather from Sunday through next week. Then another storm is possible next weekend.

Short Term Forecast

Saturday

I was on the hill on Saturday with family and friends and it was a super fun day. The morning's runs were wonderful with a few inches of soft snow on top of groomers, and during the midday and afternoon, we found everything from cold powder at the summit to warm, slushy snow closer to the base.

On Saturday, snow showers fell off and on during the day and the evening. Despite the warm temperatures preventing much additional accumulation, the mid-mountain snow stake eked out about 1 inch late in the afternoon and early in the evening.

Sunday

The storm has moved away, and Sunday's weather will be gorgeous with mostly sunny skies and a high temperature in the upper 30s to mid-40s.

Longer Range

The upcoming week's weather will be mostly sunny and warm with high temperatures in the 40s.

We'll see typical spring conditions with firmer snow in the morning, transitioning to softer snow during the midday, and then slushier snow during the afternoon.

Snow will then return to the forecast with a fast-moving storm around Thursday, April 25 to Friday, April 26, and then the likelihood for more snow sometime between Saturday, April 27, and Monday, April 29.

While the mountain will stay open into May (yay!), I am wrapping up daily coverage and my final post of the season will be on Monday, April 22.
