Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Friday should be a powder day at Copper, but with a twist. While we’ll see a fresh inch, maybe two during first chair, the heaviest snow will fall during the middle of the day, between about 10am-2pm. During this time, we should see snowfall rates of 1-2 inches per hour which will mean powder refills on the slopes and daytime total of 4-7 inches. Also, this heavy snow could create accidents and closures on I-70, so best to be on the slopes during this time and not out driving:-)

We could see another 1-3 inches fall from Friday afternoon through Friday evening, then the weather will be dry on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Around the time of Thanksgiving, a slow-moving storm should bring snow back to the Copper area, but it is still too far away to provide any details. Download Copper’s free Sherpa app to stay in the know about terrain openings over the next few days, and I’ll provide daily updates as we move closer to the Thanksgiving storm.
