Chance snow before noon on Wednesday

Summary

There's a slight chance of snow on Wednesday morning at most ski areas and then a rain/snow mix is forecast in the afternoon. Sun Valley had 1 inch of new snow overnight at the summit. Generally, the forecast for Southern Idaho resorts remains the same through Thursday night, with a chance of snow in the morning, and then rain/snow mix in the afternoon as temperatures warm up. Snow levels in the 6,000-7,000 foot range. North Idaho resorts have a similar forecast for Wednesday, a chance of snow in the morning, and rain/snow mix in the afternoon turning to rain. Snow levels 6,000-7,000 feet, depending on location. Snow levels are expected to drop statewide by Friday to 4,000-5,000 feet bringing a chance of snow by Saturday for pond-skimming events and fun activities.
