More snow coming to N. Idaho; sunshine and windy in S. Idaho

Summary

Well, the big snow forecast to hit almost all of Idaho's ski areas over the New Year's holiday came through, but it didn't deliver as much quantity as hoped in places. Brundage Mountain was in cross-hairs as it got over a foot of new snow, and just about every ski area got a few inches to freshen the base. A new storm system is descending on Northern Idaho resorts on Thursday night, bringing quite a bit of wind with it. More snow is expected Saturday-Sunday at North Idaho resorts, with 4-7 inches expected. Sunny skies are forecast on Thursday at most of Southern Idaho resorts, while Brundage and Tamarack will get a few inches of more snow. A weaker storm system will come through Southern Idaho on Saturday, bringing the potential for a couple of inches of snow.
