Bluebird conditions statewide on Thursday ... Enjoy the sunshine!

Summary

Sunny skies prevail statewide on Thursday with high temperatures in the high 20s to 30s. A new storm moves into N. Idaho on Friday morning, while S. Idaho ski areas will have one more day to bask in the sun with slightly warmer afternoon temperatures. Snow quantities are getting beefed up according to weather models this weekend. 3-10 inches is expected Friday-Sunday at N. Idaho resorts, and much colder temps associated with the Canadian Arctic air flow with the storm cycle. 2-6 inches of new snow are forecast at Bogus Basin, Brundage, Tamarack and Sun Valley, while south of the Snake River, Pomerelle could get 14-24 inches by Sunday night, 8-18 at Pebble Creek and something similar at Magic Mountain (reopens today for the weekend). The storm system may linger for several days after the weekend, particularly in S. Idaho, and bring more snow through Wednesday.
