Light snow follows deep totals

Summary

The Collective Resorts enjoyed multiple rounds of deep snow during the final days of November and into the first weekend of December. Light snow will fall during the first week of December ahead of stronger storms beginning Monday, December 10th.

Short Term Forecast

The past week offered the goods to numerous Collective Resorts across the Western US, with Tahoe and Utah grabbing the deepest totals from the parade of storms.

Deepest 5-Day Totals

Snowbasin: 40"

Squaw Valley: 38"

Alta: 37"

Snowbird: 35"

Jackson Hole: 25"

Forecast

We'll now move into a quieter week as we reset and wait for the storm train to return during the second week of December. Areas in California, Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico (Taos) will receive light snow on Monday, December 3rd and again from Wednesday, December 5th through Friday, December 7th.

Keep an eye on Squaw Valley, Mammoth, Alta, Snowbird, and Snowbasin as areas to watch for fresh turns this week.

Temperatures will also remain average to below-average across much of the United States from December 3rd through December 10th so look for additional snowmaking and the Collective Resorts to open additional terrain from coast-to-coast.

Extended Forecast

Looking further ahead, we'll be watching for stronger storms to return beginning on Monday, December 10th.

The details will be fined tuned by our team of local forecasters over the next 7 days but we should be looking at a solid refresh for western Canada and the western United States from Monday, December 10th through Wednesday, December 12th.

Keep an eye on the Collective Resorts in California, Utah, and Colorado, along with the Canadian destinations of Revelstoke, Banff Sunshine, and Lake Louise.

Thanks for reading and look for our next update on Monday, December 10th!
