#NoSnowNovember to #NeckDeepNovember

Summary

California, Utah, and Wyoming received the DEEP during the final days of November. Mammoth and Squaw Alpine will remain locked into the storm track to kick off December, while other destinations continue to receive lighter totals through the first 10 days of the month. Watching for the active storm track to continue for the Western US during the middle of December.

Short Term Forecast

Let's first get started with the deepest reports from the Collective Resorts for November 27th through December 1st.

Deepest 5-Day Totals

Alta: 64 inches

Snowbird: 62 inches

Mammoth: 46 inches

Jackson Hole: 36 inches

Squaw Alpine: 35 inches

Forecast

After a quiet November, the storm train couldn't let the Collective Resorts in California, Utah, and Jackson Hole in Wyoming go quietly into December. Here was the scene at Alta on Saturday, November 30th after the mountain received over 5 FEET in 5 days.

Moving onto the forecast, the storm track will be slightly quieter through the first week of December but multiple destinations will still receive multiple rounds of snow.

The focus will remain on California as Mammoth and Squaw Alpine receive an additional 1-2+ FEET through Monday, December 2nd, followed by another wave of healthy totals beginning on Friday, December 6th. After proper mitigation work, these will be the places to be during the first week of December if you're looking for deep and fresh turns.

Elsewhere, Jackson Hole will receive the remnants from California on Monday, December 2nd and again on Saturday, December 7th. Keep an eye on the weekend of December 7th and 8th for fresh turns in the Tetons.

Further north, Revelstoke, Banff Sunshine, and Lake Louise will receive off-and-on snow during the first 10 days of December, with the best waves pushing through British Columbia and Alberta around Tuesday, December 3rd and Friday, December 6th.

Extended Forecast

Looking ahead to the middle of December, all longer-range models continue to provide the Western US with a healthy storm track. Keep your schedules open as the Collective Resorts continue to open additional terrain as we enter prime powder chasing season!

As always, stay tuned to the 1-10 day forecasts for all of the Mountain Collective destinations and our team of local forecasters for the latest updates.

Thanks for reading and look for my next update on Monday, December 9th.
