We'll get started with the deepest reports from the Collective Resorts for Thursday, December 5th through Monday, December 9th.

Forecast

I hope many if you have been able to enjoy or at least watch the plethora of snow that has fallen over Squaw Alpine and Mammoth over the past couple of weeks. They went from zero to hero thanks to multiple storms, including another 1-2 FEET over the weekend of December 7th and 8th. 

Elsewhere, the Aspen Snowmass resorts picked up 12 inches since the evening of Saturday, December 7th, along with 12 inches at Alta, and 16 inches at Jackson Hole. Plenty of snow to enjoy if you were chasing around the West over the weekend. 

If you haven't used your Collective Pass yet, don't worry, as there will be multiple storms and a lot more terrain opening for every destination as we approach the weekend of December 14th and 15th and into the holidays.

For the week of December 9th, outside of the normal storm pattern in Niseko, Japan, we will start quietly for Monday through Wednesday. We'll then turn our full attention to Friday, December 13th through Sunday, December 15th as multiple waves of storm energy, abundant moisture, and cold temperatures target the Western US.

Start planning now if you're itching for soft turns as Friday, Saturday, and Sunday morning could all offer the goods. Keep it locked to BA in California, Joel in Colorado, Evan in Utah, and myself in Jackson Hole for the latest updates each morning.

Looking further ahead, additional storms will target British Columbia through the week of December 9th and into the week of December 16th.

The US could be quiet for a few days to start the week of December 16th but all signs are pointing towards additional storms for the West after December 18th. Plenty to choose from if you're planning to chase powder around the Christmas holiday!
