Plenty of snow all around

Summary

The Rockies received DEEP totals over the past 5 days and the fun will continue through Presidents Day weekend as multiple storms line up. Lighter totals will start the week for most locations but keep an eye on Saturday, February 15th through Monday, February 17th for more of the deep.

Short Term Forecast

We'll get started with the deepest reports from the Collective Resorts from Thursday, February 6th through the morning of Monday, February 10th.

Deepest 5-Day Totals

Jackson Hole: 45"

Arapahoe Basin: 43"

Big Sky: 35"

Snowbird: 35"

Alta: 29"

Forecast

The Rockies have been enjoying a fabulous storm cycle over the 5 days, with totals exceeding 3+ FEET in Jackson Hole and Arapahoe Basin in Colorado. Big Sky also benefited and they will continue to be in the sweet spot over the next 7-10 days.

To start the week, the focus will remain on Colorado as Arapahoe Basin continues to pick up fluffy turns through Monday and for first chair Tuesday morning.

We'll then shift further south as a southern storm favors Taos Ski Valley for 6-12 inches through Tuesday, February 11th. Taos could be a great chase for first chair Tuesday morning.

Elsewhere, Canada and Sugarbush in New England will also join the powder party with multiple rounds of snow over the next seven days. Our 1-10 day forecasts for the Mountain Collective are a great tool to see how the forecast is trending so make sure to check this every morning so catch the latest updates.

Extended Forecast

Looking ahead to Presidents Day weekend, we'll be watching for a stronger storm to impact much of northern and central Rockies. The details are still murky but Alta/Snowbird, Big Sky, Jackson Hole, and A-Basin / Aspen Snowmass in Colorado could be great options if you're looking to chase over the holiday weekend.

Stay tuned to our 1-10 day forecasts for all of the Mountain Collective destinations and our team of local forecasters for the latest updates.

Thanks for reading and look for my next update on Monday, February 17th.
