Summary

Multiple storms will bring the goods to nearly every Mountain Collective destination through the middle of March. Keep an eye on the Northwest to start the week and the Southwest to end the week. Stronger storm for California around Sunday, March 15th.

Short Term Forecast

Let's get started with the deepest reports from the Collective Resorts from Thursday, March 5th through the morning of Monday, March 9th.

Deepest 5-Day Totals

Banff Sunshine: 17"

Alta: 11"

Lake Louise: 7"

Snowbird: 7"

Big Sky: 6"

Forecast

The week of March 9th will bring healthy totals to our Canadian locations to start the week, followed by fresh snow for many areas across the Intermountain West to end the week.

To start, a northerly storm track will bring the goods to Jackson Hole, Big Sky, Revelstoke, Lake Louise, and Banff Sunshine on Monday and into Tuesday, March 10th. Keep an eye on Jackson Hole for fresh turns on Tuesday and Revelstoke for Wednesday.

We'll then turn our attention further south as a storm slides into the southwest and looks to deliver a solid refresh to Aspen Snowmass, A-Basin, and Taos on Friday, March 13th and into Saturday, March 14th. Temperatures will be warm so the rain/snow line will be an issue to watch...

Extended Forecast

Looking ahead to the weekend of March 14th and 15th, a cold and slow-moving storm should bring healthy accumulations to the northern Rockies and California.

This system will then slide further south and east to bring Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico the goods around Monday, March 16th and Tuesday, March 17th. Much colder temps should also be in play so we could be looking at a fluffier snow quality compared to what we've been receiving over the past few weeks.

The longer-range models are then keeping the storm track well alive as we head into the second half of March. If you haven't used all of your Collective days, now is the time!

Stay tuned to our 1-10 day forecasts for all of the Mountain Collective destinations and our team of local forecasters for the latest updates.

Thanks for reading and look for my next update on Monday, March 16th.
