Steamboat Daily Snow

Update
The weather on Monday and Tuesday will continue to be warm and mostly sunny with on-mountain high temperatures in the mid-40s while readings at the base top out in the mid-60s. The only interruption to this dry weather will be a brief shower around midnight on Monday night.
Then Wednesday will be a transition time as our next storm approaches. Expect more clouds, slightly cooler temperatures, and perhaps a shower.
The next storm will bring snow starting late on Wednesday night or Thursday morning, and snow flakes should fall through Friday morning. Total snow amounts should be in the 2-4 or 3-6 inch range, and the temperature should drop low enough so that snowflakes can fall nearly to the base elevation of about 7,000 feet. Friday morning should offer the softest turns of the week, though we’ll have to see if there’s enough new snow for a legitimate powder day.
Following this storm, the weather on Saturday will be dry, then snow will return on Sunday and Monday (March 26-27), with additional storms likely between then and the first few days of April. Spring has been here, but winter will make a comeback!
