Update

Monday was another warm, spring day at Steamboat, though there were more clouds in the sky than during the previous week. Tuesday and Wednesday will be similar to Monday with warm temperatures and clouds dimming the sunshine at times.

We’ll see a change in the weather pattern on Thursday when a strong storm moves into Colorado. This storm should bring some showers on Thursday, with the best chance for snow on Thursday night. We should see a few inches by Friday morning, but the storm may not strengthen early enough for significant snow to fall at Steamboat. Also, it’ll take a while for cooler air to move in, so while there will be snow at mid-mountain and above on Thursday night, the base could see rain drops until the colder air arrives late Thursday night into Friday morning.

Following this storm, Friday afternoon through Saturday will be dry, then a new storm will bring snow Saturday night and Sunday. Beyond that, much of next week and the first week of April looks stormy, so we’ll likely have many more chances for snow between now and closing day on April 16th.
