6-12 Inches Possible This Weekend...

Summary

- Thursday we will have some sun, temperatures in the 40's, and lighter winds. Friday we have increasing clouds and wind ahead of the next storm. Ridgetop winds could gust to 50 mph by afternoon. - For the weekend we will see moisture push in from the next storm Saturday with light/moderate snowfall Saturday afternoon/evening. We could see lingering snow showers into Sunday morning. We could see 6-12 inches of snow on the mountains. - Sunday night into Monday a 2nd system moves in bringing the possibility of more snowfall. Snow levels rising to 7,000 feet on Monday. We could see several more inches of snow on the mountains by Monday evening. - Tuesday we could see a brief break. Then Wednesday another storm moves in with snow levels starting above 7,000 feet then crashing below lake level with the cold front. This storm could bring several more inches of snow. - The forecast models are split on whether or not we could see more snow Thursday into Friday next week, or we start to dry out. We could see drier weather midmonth into the 3rd week of January.
