The Rain Continues...

Summary

Windy with rain today and highs in the 40's. Mountain top gusts to 70 mph. Lighter rain this afternoon and tonight. Thursday heavier rain pushes in with mountain top gusts increasing to 130+ mph. Snow levels running around 9000 feet this morning rising to around 9500 feet tonight and then dropping to around 8500 feet Thursday afternoon. Thursday night colder air works in with snow levels falling to lake level by Friday morning. We could see 2-8 inches above 7000 feet by morning. Friday snow showers could continue into Friday evening. 1-3 additional inches possible at lake level, and 1-6 inches on the mountains. Winds still strong on the mountains Friday. Saturday the storms should clear out and the winds should start to come down on the mountains. We should see sun for the weekend with highs in the 30's. The dry weather continues for the first half of next week, but with temperatures warming into the 40's on the mountains and near 50 at lake level. A stormy pattern may return next Thursday with a series of colder storms taking aim at CA.
