Thanks to the support of the Colorado Flights Alliance and the Telluride Tourism Board, the Telluride Daily Snow is back for this 2024-2025 winter!

Friday
A morning look to the southwest already shows snow showers, which is a bit of a surprise to see this early in the day. The jet stream is overhead and may be helping the atmosphere to create snowflakes.
For Friday, expect times of light snow with a dusting to an inch of accumulation. There might be enough snow for a slight refresh by Friday afternoon. The temperature on Friday will stay chilly with a high in the teens.
Saturday
Saturday will be partly sunny and dry with a high temperature of around 30°F.
Also for Saturday:
-
Lifts 12 & 14 to the public on Saturday 12/14 for a “Preview” through Monday end of the day!
-
There will be limited access to lift-served terrain on Lift 12 (no Hike-Tos), and only See Forever will be open off Lift 14. There will be no beginner egress out of the bowl so all guests will have to ride up Lift 14 and ski See Forever.
-
Please remember that these are early-season conditions! All trail openings and closures will be at the discretion of Ski Patrol. There may be some trails open on Saturday that may close Sunday or Monday. After Monday, a decision will be made as to the future of Prospect Bowl.
Sunday
There will be another weak storm on Sunday and we could see flakes though most of the snow will stay to the north of Telluride and we may not see any accumulation.
The high temperature on Sunday will be in the mid-20s.
Monday
Monday will be mostly sunny and dry with a high temperature in the 30s.
Tuesday & Wednesday
The third weak storm should bring some snow on Tuesday and/or Tuesday night, and yet again, accumulations will likely be limited to just a dusting to an inch or two.
Longer Range
During the rest of December, the weather pattern will continue to be unfavorable for significant storms. Our next chance for snow could be during the week of December 23-27, but that's grasping at straws just a bit.
In terms of snow quality, we have a solid base and the low sun angle of December will continue to preserve our snowpack, so we're in an okay spot even if we do not see significant storms for the rest of the month.
In early January, the longest-range forecasts show a higher chance for colder and stormier weather. Because this stormier signal for early January has been in the longer-range forecasts for the last one to two weeks, the persistence of this signal increases confidence that it will happen.
