Plenty of powder through early March

Summary

Three major storms will hit different parts of the western US and Canada through the first few days of March. Don’t get lazy now that the sun angle is higher … keep getting after the pow!

Short Term Forecast

On Thursday and Friday, the first of three storms will move across Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, and into the upper Midwest. Expect powder in the mountains and blizzard conditions over the plains.

The second storm will arrive on the west coast late on Saturday into Sunday, and will then track toward the four corners. Expect powder in California on Sunday into Monday, with the heaviest snow moving to Arizona, New Mexico, and southern Colorado on Monday and Tuesday.

Later next week, a third storm will push into North America, this time targeting the Pacific Northwest with the most snow. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday could be the best powder days.

Extended Forecast

The weather pattern during the first week of March looks like cold and snow will stick around the western US and Canada.

If you’re seeking powder, it’s time to go, go, go!
