Winter Park Daily Snow

Snow arrives on Monday night
Summary
We'll see two storms this week with moderate snow totals on Monday night into Tuesday and perhaps deeper snow on Thursday night into Friday.
Update
As of Monday morning, the mid-mountain snow stake is still dry, but that will change in 24 hours.
Monday will be mostly dry with a high temperature in the 20s.
The first storm of the week will arrive late Monday afternoon with snow falling through Tuesday midday. I'll stick with a forecast of 2-4 inches. The storm's energy is rather weak and the wind direction from the west is not ideal for Winter Park, but moisture will be adequate for decent snow. If we're lucky with the decent moisture moving in, we'll see snowfall at the high side of the forecast range.
From Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday afternoon, expect dry weather with a high temperature on Wednesday in the 20s and low 30s, and low temperatures in the teens and low 20s.
The second storm of the week will occur from Wednesday night through Friday night. This storm will have strong energy, plentiful moisture, a well-defined cold front, and the jet stream will be overhead as well. All of these factors point to the possibility for significant snowfall in the 6-12 inch range, but the storm is still a few days away, so the forecast will change. The most intense snow will likely be on Thursday night into Friday morning.
Beyond this week, we'll see mostly dry weather between about December 11-18, with stormier weather possible between about December 18-25.
