Clouds on the Increase / Snow for Monday
Summary
Today (Sunday) will be the last day in our most recent run on super warm days as a spring storm will come knocking on our door Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures today will once again reach into the 50’s this afternoon all the way up to 9000’. Our next storm, a cold front and cutoff low will combine to bring a decent snowfall of up to 10 inches Monday through Tuesday.

Today:
At 7:00AM it’s 47 degrees in the Village and 40 degrees at the 8800’ level of Andesite Mountain. No new snow fell in the last 24-hours. Currently the skies are partly cloudy over Lone and Andesite mountains. Current winds at the top of Andesite are blowing from the SW at 8 mph with a recent gust to 27 mph.
Today, skies will see increasing clouds through the day with high temperatures across the upper mountain locations (at 9000’) reaching around 50 degrees once again. It will be breezy with Southwest winds blowing around 15 - 20 mph with gusts to 35 mph across the ridgetops.
Extended Forecast:
Snow and colder temps return to the forecast Monday with amounts of 3 – 5 inches by last chair. Overnight Monday, snow will continue with another 3 – 5 inches. Weather models keep snow showers in the forecast on Tuesday indicating good chances of another 1 – 3 inches. High temperatures Monday and Tuesday will be in the low to mid 30’s. High-pressure returns Wednesday and Thursday before another storm moves through Friday into the weekend.
