Fresh Snow for Tuesday
Summary
Roughly 3 inches registered on the snow stakes this morning although it does get hard to read those things at times. Very light snow should add another inch or two before ending around 11am. The rest of the day looks to be mostly cloudy but should stay below freezing for decent snow quality. Sunny skies on Wednesday will transition to snowy skies Thursday afternoon with a few more inches likely.

Today:
At 7:00AM it’s 28 degrees in the Village and 21 degrees at the 8800’ level of Andesite Mountain. 3 inches of new snow fell in the last 24-hours, 2 inches of it overnight. Currently the skies are cloudy with light snow falling over Lone and Andesite mountains. Current winds at the top of Andesite are blowing from the NW at 10 mph with a recent gust to 18 mph.
Today, light snow will fall during the morning hours transitioning to cloudy skies before noon for a mostly cloudy afternoon. Additional accumulations of 1 to 2 inches. High temperatures across the upper mountain locations (at 9000’) will be around 30 this afternoon. Winds will be blowing from the North around 10 mph with gusts to 20 mph across the ridgetops.
Extended Forecast:
High-pressure returns Wednesday for a sunny day before another storm moves through Thursday afternoon and evening with chances of 1 to 3 inches. Friday, mostly sunny again before another weak disturbance brings clouds and flurries Saturday afternoon. For Sunday, a mix of clouds, flurries and a few sunny breaks.
