Snow Thursday-Saturday

Summary

We’re still on track to see back-to-back storms between Thursday morning and Saturday night of this week with respectable though not huge snow amounts in store. Thursday afternoon, Friday morning, and all-day Saturday look like the prime times to ski fresh powder, with Sunday morning offering nice leftovers for the Interior as well. Beyond Saturday, unfortunately, all of the major models have shifted substantially in the wrong direction over the previous 24 hours. Sunday’s storm is now projected to shift too far south into the U.S., while a once-promising pattern for early next week has now shifted to one featuring high pressure and several days of dry weather per recent model runs. Of course, uncertainty still exists given the day-to-day model inconsistencies. As it stands now, more active weather would most likely return around February 21st assuming next week’s dry spell does, in fact, come to fruition.
