Update

On Wednesday, we enjoyed dry and mostly sunny weather.

On Wednesday night, the first part of a two-part storm brought snow. I was hoping for a few inches and the atmosphere provided the low end of that with 1 inch accumulating at mid-mountain.

On Thursday, we should see a break between the first and second parts of the storm. Look for partly to mostly cloudy weather with a high temperature around 20°F and dry weather through at least early afternoon.

On Thursday afternoon, Thursday night, and Friday morning, the second part of the two-part storm should bring another few inches of snow. If we can squeak out 1-3 more inches, then Friday morning could be soft, at least on the groomers.

On Friday night and Saturday morning, we will have dry weather.

Then we’ll get on board the storm train as multiple systems will bring snow to the mountain from Saturday afternoon through Wednesday. Total accumulations should be 8-16+ inches during these 4-5 days and conditions should get progressively softer and deeper starting on Sunday morning and culminating on Wednesday, January 15th.

After Wednesday, I have no idea what will happen with the weather pattern. Some models show a drying trend. Other models show additional storms. I’ll keep you updated when I have a clue.

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
