Wowza!

Summary

The Tetons and Utah have been incredibly DEEP over the past 5 days. Those same areas will remain in the sweet spot through the week of January 13th, along with Squaw Alpine and Mammoth. Additional chances for decent totals across many areas.

Short Term Forecast

As we do each week, let's get started with the deepest reports from the Collective Resorts from Thursday, January 9th through the morning of Monday, January 13th.

Jackson Hole: 63"

Snowbird: 61"

Alta: 57"

Big Sky: 23"

Snowmass: 13"

Forecast

If you missed the opportunity the enjoy the goods during the week of January 6th, don't worry, there are numerous areas to get to during the week of January 13th. 

To start, Alta and Snowbird continue to be in the flow with upwards of 2 additional FEET, with Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday all providing good opportunites to chase snow.

Further north, Jackson Hole has already received over 7 FEET in the past 10 days and three additional rounds of snow will continue to pile on the totals over the next 5 days. Target Tuesday and Wednesday if you're looking to catch the tail end of their powder wave. 

It's been a quiet start to the month in California but that will all change this week as Mammoth and Squaw Alpine receive multiple rounds of snow and upwards of 3 FEET through Sunday, December 19th. Target Thursday, January 16th for Mammoth and Tuesday, January 14th and Friday, January 17th for Squaw Alpine.

Elsewhere, Sugarbush in the Northeast will receive two chances for snow around Thursday, January 16th and again around Saturday, January 18th. 

Taos could also be sneaky good as a storm ramps up and delivers the goods on Thursday, January 16th and into Friday, January 17th. 

Extended Forecast

Looking ahead to the week of January 20th, the focus will likely shift north into Canada. Destinations in the Northern Rockies could receive light refreshes but we'll need to dial in the details in next week's update.
