One Weak System, Then Quiet

Summary

A weak system will impact Northern Utah mountains Sunday night into Monday. Then a quiet week ahead before a chance for a pattern change in March.

Short Term Forecast

Our Southern Utah storm went roughly as expected. 10-12" being reported at Southern Utah resorts this morning, should be a good powder day if you are down in that region today. Northern Utah, as expected, was on the outs in this storm. Just a few clouds but those have already cleared out.

Clouds will increase later today ahead of a weak system that will push in tonight into early Monday. Light snow accumulations likely in the Northern Utah mountains. Only expecting a few inches at best, however we have had some luck with sleeper Mondays, so I suppose you never know.

Otherwise, the next week looks dry. Temperatures will be cold behind the front on Monday, then gradually warm throughout the week. Very similar to this past week.

Extended Forecast

Our next chance for snow looks to be late next weekend. Around March, we will see the pattern shift and the western US could return to more active weather. Way too early for any details, but something to keep an eye on...
